An artist and educator, Davis co-founded Brockman Gallery (1967-1991), first major Black-owned gallery in Los Angeles. Alonzo Davis Collection contains about 75 linear feet of materials. | More

Our value is embodied in our arts and culture. That’s who we are as a people. It is necessary to have more access throughout the communities not just East Coast/West Coast and a few major cities. Shout on the mountain tops. I thoroughly feel nourished to have had access to this issue of Culture Type.
